SEND support

Our academy’s SEND coordinator is Rachel Snow. She works alongside our Consultant SENDCo Katherine Grant; they can be contacted via the academy office or email

All pupils are assessed when they join Olive AP Academy – Suffolk (Central) to identify their strengths and needs. Parents and carers are involved in these discussions when your child joins our academy (OA-SC).

What special educational needs does OA-SC support?

    • communication and interaction difficulties
    • cognition and learning difficulties
    • social, emotional and mental health difficulties
    • sensory and/or physical needs

We offer appropriate personalised planning and differentiation for pupils with SEN and teaching will be responsive to different learning styles to allow for meaningful and effective learning and inclusion for all.You can find further information in our SEND Information Report 2018 – 2019 and our Special Educational Needs and Disability Policy.
