OA-Suffolk students celebrate progress, achievement and their next steps

Students at OA-Suffolk achieved outstanding examination results, with many achieving qualifications that help them progress towards their individual goals and future pathways.

For our 2025-26 cohort, 71% of students achieved GCSEs in both English and Maths, with 71% achieving a GCSE in English and 79% achieving a GCSE in Maths.

Alongside these core qualifications, 57% of students achieved at least four GCSEs, while 36% achieved five or more. The alternative provision average rate of achieving 1 or more GCSE is 49% - showing we are well above sector national averages.

However, achievement is about more than the results. For students at OA-Suffolk, reaching this point represents the culmination of individual journeys, each shaped by different experiences, challenges and successes.

Progress might look different for every young person. For some, it is achieving a particular grade or qualification; for others, it is developing the confidence to participate in lessons, building positive relationships, improving attendance or finding a renewed sense of purpose in their education.

For many students, that progress is now translating into a clear next step. Whether continuing their studies, developing vocational skills or working towards a particular career, these next steps represent an important milestone in their individual journeys.

The team at OA-Suffolk is committed to helping students understand their strengths, develop resilience and build the skills they need to take their next steps with confidence.

Kelly Emms, Head of Academy, said:

I am incredibly proud of the effort our students have put in this year. Every student has their own starting point and their own challenges to overcome, so it is important that we celebrate the progress each individual has made alongside these results. We wish them every success for the future and hope they continue to believe in themselves and their abilities.
